Do You Want to Help People?

God has graciously surrounded each one of us with those who at times could use help. Maybe your friend, neighbor, co-worker, or neighbor is facing one of many difficult life issues. If that is the case, this conference is for you. This conference will answer many questions including:

How would God desire to speak into this person’s life and circumstances?

Where do I start? What do I do? How would God desire to speak into this person’s life and circumstances? How do I get this person from the problem to a God-centered, Bible-specific solution?

The Basics in Biblical Counseling Conference is an opportunity for you to deepen your knowledge of God’s Word and learn how to use it in personal problem solving. You will receive practical teaching in how to use God’s Word to help others in intensive discipleship. In the process you have the opportunity to grow in your own walk with Christ. This is an outstanding way to sharpen your thinking and ministry skills.

Message from the Pastor

David Mills

David Mills, Pastor

Dear Fellow Laborer,

Biblical Counseling has become much more to us than just a better way to counsel the hurting. Since being introduced, years ago, to Jay Adams’ book, "Competent to Counsel", our entire ministry has taken on a renewed focus and vigor. Upon reading the book, our pastors were convicted that our ministry was not meeting the spiritual needs of our people. That began a difficult, but life- and ministry-changing journey.

Through the influence of men like Kevin Carson and Bill Piatt, we were directed to the training offered by Sonrise, the only NANC certified training center associated with the Baptist Bible Fellowship. Since our first connection, God has continued to grow us spiritually as pastors, counselors, and leaders. It is our joy and privilege to host the Basics in Biblical Counseling Conference on the Berean campus. Our people are excited to meet you and provide a great atmosphere for you during the training.

Make your plans to join us on this journey to be better equipped and to equip God’s people to meet the needs of hurting people with the healing power of God’s Word through biblical counseling. We truly believe it is a more than worthwhile investment that you will not soon forget.
